NACD September U&C Webinar
Across the country, weather events are causing short-term and long-term damage to communities. In the next NACD Urban and Community Conservation webinar, scheduled for 11:00am-12:00pm Central time on September 21, 2017, we will look at what can be done at the local level to help reduce and repair the impact of storms.
“Enhancing Resiliency through Natural Resource Management” will feature work being done in the Twin Cities metro area. Landscape Architect Bruce Jacobson will share his planning and design experience working with individuals and communities on urban parks, public spaces and private gardens. Staff at the Ramsey Conservation District will describe the District’s long-term goal of ‘Adapt to Climate Variabilities and Minimize Flooding’ and how it is being put into action.
These popular webinars, held on the third Thursday of each month, are sponsored by The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company in partnership with the NACD Urban and Community Resource Policy Group. There is no cost to participate, but space is limited. Registration will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. To register, email Debra Bogar at [email protected] WITH your name, title, district or business name, state and email address. Information to access the webinar will be sent by email.
