Webinar: Designing Trees into the Urban Landscape and Integrating Stormwater Management
Penn State Extension Community Forestry Management Monthly Webinar Series
Monday, April 10, 2017, 11 AM Central / 12 PM Eastern
This webinar will review the issues faced by urban design professionals seeking to make cities more sustainable and livable, and discuss solutions to these issues. Sustainability is about complete streets, where urban trees are planted in a way that allows them to reach maturity without damaging surrounding infrastructure, and where stormwater is managed in a way that reduces runoff to keep our waterways clean and minimize the risk of flooding. It will use regional and international case studies to illustrate the successful establishment of low impact development (LID) practices.
