Meeting Minutes

Mike Max called the meeting to order at 9:40.
Motion to approve minutes from the February 15, 2001 meeting were made by Paul Buck and seconded by James Burks.
Introductions: Brad Williams, forester from Excel Energy and Ben Ystenes from O of M and UNITREE.
Announcements: Don Mueller highlighted a few calendar items: Don is attending the Northwest Minnesota Community Forestry Workshop at the U of M Crookston, the Tree Inspectors Workshop is in St. Paul on March 31st and April 4th, in Rochester, and April 12th in Alexandria, the Preserving Today: Trees for Tomorrow workshop will be held on April 3rd at Bunker Hills in Andover and on April 6th in Dakota Co Extension Center, Farmington, lastly the STAC Awards Luncheon will be at the Willow Creek Golf Course in Rochester on April 6th.
Mark Snobrich gave a brief update on the efforts of the MnSTAC Legislative Committee. The STAC web page, www.mnstac.org, is updated with the information on the status of the bill. Support is needed from all the members of MnSTAC to contact their legislator. If you have their legislator about their MnReleaf projects. Steve Kunde and Steve Cook are responsible for doing the legwork, Thank You.
Mike Max thanked Paul Wavatne for presenting the awards to the deserving participants of the 2000 MnSTAC awards. Enclosed is the program with the recipients names and awards.
Gary Johnson made a motion to adjourn, Janette Monear seconded it.
