Outstanding Volunteer Project
Award—Awarded
to an individual volunteer or group that has organized and implemented the most
innovative and successful project involving volunteers.
Outstanding Volunteer of the Year
Award—Awarded
to an individual volunteer who has contributed most significantly to urban and
community forestry through unpaid community service work.
Outstanding Youth Project Award—Awarded to an individual
youth, youth organization, or academic class that has organized and implemented
the most notable youth project.
Outstanding Partnership Award—Awarded to organizations
and/or individuals who have jointly implemented a project that demonstrates a
high level of cooperative spirit and effort.
Outstanding Arbor Day Award/Arbor
Month Celebration—Awarded to the community and school that has organized the
celebration that best commemorates and furthers the Arbor Day ideal.
Outstanding Community Forestry
Maintenance Award—Awarded to the individual or organization that has
implemented the most exemplary comprehensive maintenance program for the trees
under their jurisdiction.
Distinguished Service Award—Awarded to the MnSTAC
member who has contributed most significantly to urban and community forestry
on behalf of MnSTAC.
Innovation Award—Awarded
for unique achievement(s) in community forestry serving as an exemplary and
innovative model for other programs.
Stewardship Award- Awarded to an individual
employee or agency of local or state units of government and non governmental
organizations that have demonstrated responsible and sound community forestry
management decisions and practices.
Media Award—Awarded to an individual,
publication, or broadcast organizations whose media production have
significantly increased public awareness and promoted the public’s support of
community forestry within the state.
Sponsorship Award—Award acknowledges a donor’s
generous financial support and sponsorship of community forestry projects.
